Midsummer’s Eve Pom Pom Chandelier

Midsummer crown In a few days we fill our Swedish homes and hair with flowers and leafs. It is Midsummer’s Eve and we will be celebrating all night long. Today we make a Pom Pom Chandelier to hang over the festive table setting.

You need something to make the frame of, we have used metal strips with holes. You also need cotton fabrics and ribbons, yarn, scissors and a Pom Pom Maker.

Start by making the frame work. We use a metal strips with holes.

Then make pom poms – lots of pom poms!

You can also make pom poms in the traditional way. You can find a tutorial here.

Tie the pom poms on the frame. Also tie ribbons or strips of fabric on to the frame to use for hanging. Finally, wrap strips of fabric around the frame to hide the metal.

Our Midsummer’s Eve Chandelier is done and is already hanging over the table. We wish you all a wonderful summer!
